Fintech giant Stripe announced Wednesday a slew of new product launches at its annual Stripe Sessions user event. The highlights include a new AI foundation model for payments; stablecoin-powered accounts; a new Orchestration offering, and a recent migration with chip behemoth Nvidia. Stripe’s payments foundation model has been trained on tens of billions of transactions, Emily Glassberg Sands, Stripe’s head of information, said. So it “captures hundreds of subtle signals about each payment” that other models would miss, she said. One use case is improved fraud detection. Stripe’s previous models “gradually” reduced card-testing attacks by 80% over two years. Card-testing…
Solana pushed back to $145 this week; its first return to that level since mid-December. The move confirms renewed strength across large-cap altcoins as market sentiment improves in early 2026. Still, while SOL’s price recovery is drawing headlines, a different conversation is taking place beneath the surface. Traders are once again comparing mature Layer-1 rallies with early-stage infrastructure plays that may offer far greater upside. One project consistently entering that discussion is LiquidChain ($LIQUID). While Solana trades at a multi-billion-dollar valuation, LiquidChain is still in its crypto presale phase, producing strong funding and staking numbers at a fraction of the…

Imagine being the typical SpaceX employee over the last few months. Your shares IPO at $135 and within a few days they peak at $225/share (up 67%) before they begin to decline. As of this morning they sit at around $139, or about 3% above the IPO price. Given this, what percentage of your shares would you sell once your lock-up ends? This question isn’t just relevant to SpaceX employees, but to anyone who’s ever held a concentrated position in an individual stock. After all, do you hold on in hopes of future growth? Or do you get out in…
The most heavily trailed supply event of the year landed on August 6, and the SpaceX (SPCX) stock went up. Roughly 911.5 million shares held by insiders and early backers became eligible to trade, around 43% more than the entire float sold at the listing, and the freely tradable portion of the company jumped from under 5% of shares outstanding to nearly 12% in a single session. Every wire had flagged the date for weeks. The shares rose on the day and kept rising for three more. That is not a market absorbing supply gracefully. It is a market that had…

A total 195 companies joined The Crunchbase Unicorn Board in the first half of 2026 — far surpassing counts seen since the second half of 2022. In this bifurcated funding environment, we also see a wide range in valuations, as well as select companies that raised multiple rounds at a significant valuation increase in the space of months.
