RESTON, VIRGINIA—World leaders will gather in New York this month for the 81st United Nations General Assembly under the theme “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation.” While the rise of AI is bound to be at the top of their agenda, rebuilding trust in technology also requires protecting the open internet, which has made much of today’s technological progress possible in the first place.
